USPS: Reconnect Your Account

Errors when shipping with USPS? You may need to reconnect your USPS account.

Before We Begin Reconnect Your USPS Account When Postsale Prompts You Reconnect Later

Are you experiencing errors shipping with the USPS when…

  • You try to view USPS rates
  • You attempt to create or void USPS shipping labels
  • You try to create an End of Day report or schedule a pickup

It may be necessary to reconnect your USPS account to Postsale. The good news is that Postsale detects when you need to reconnect your USPS business account and will walk you through the process. 

Adding a New USPS Account to Postsale?

Before We Begin

To reconnect USPS you will need:

  • Your USPS account username
  • Your USPS account password

Reconnect Your USPS Account

When Postsale Prompts You

When Postsale detects that there is an issue connecting to your USPS account, you will be prompted to reconnect. 

  1. Click the Reconnect button.



    You will be redirected to USPS.com.
     
  2. Enter your USPS username and password. Then, sign in to your USPS account.

    The sign in screen for USPS.com is shown. The username and password are entered and the sign in button is being clicked.
     
  3. Check the box to agree to the USPS terms and to authorize Postsale to access your USPS business account.  

    The checkbox is checked to agree to the USPS terms.  
     
  4. Click the Authorize & Continue button.  

    The authorize and continue button is being clicked.  

    Your USPS account will be authorized with Postsale.  
     
  5. Click the Go to Postsale button to return to Postsale.  
    If the button is not clicked, you will be automatically routed back to Postsale after a few seconds.  

    The got to Postsale button is being clicked.

    You will be routed to Postsale.  
     
  6. Click Done to return to the USPS Settings screen.  

    The done button is being clicked.

    You are now reconnected to your USPS business account.

Reconnect Later

When prompted to reconnect your account, you have the option to reconnect your USPS business account later. Click the Remind Me Later button.

Then, follow the steps below when you are ready to reconnect your USPS account.

Procedure: Settings > Carrier Settings

  1.  Go to Settings.


     
  2. Select Carrier Settings.

    Postsale settings is expanded and carrier settings option is highlighted.
  1. Select USPS from the list of available carriers.  

    USPS is selected in the list of available carriers.  
     
  2. Select your USPS account. Then, click the Edit button.  

    The USPS account is selected and the Edit button is being clicked.
     
  3. Click the Login button in the Connection section.  



    You will be redirected to USPS.com to log in and grant access to Postsale.
     
  4. Follow steps 2 - 8 in the previous section of this article to reconnect your USPS business account to Postsale.
