Quick Tip Video Select the Label Template Label Options Include with Every Shipment Printing

Whether you're printing labels to a 4" x 6" thermal printer, letter postage to 2" x 1.5" roll labels, or sending your labels to a laser printer so that a label and packing slip together on a single 8.5" x 11" sheet, selecting the correct label template lets Postsale know how to format your shipping labels.

You can also let Postsale know if you would like to print an additional document, such as a packing slip, at the same time as the shipping label

Real-World Example

We print 4" x 6" shipping labels to a thermal printer. We also include a 4" x 6" packing slip in each package. So, we would like to set up Postsale so that the shipping labels and packing slips are formatted correctly for our printer and to automatically print an packing slip when the shipping labels are printed.

Quick Tip Video

We also have a Quick Tip video that covers the steps in this help article.

Let's use the example above to configure Postsale:

Procedure: Settings > Account Settings

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Account Settings.

  1. Select Printing.

Printing is selected in the Account Settings menu.

Select the Label Template

Select the correct template from the drop-down menu. The template you select will specify the label size and orientation of the printed shipping label.

For example: Since our Real-World Example specifies that the labels should be printed to a 4" x 6" thermal printer, we will select the Label 4 x 6 (Tall) template so that our labels will be the correct size for our thermal printer and formatted vertically (portrait orientation).

The template drop-down is expanded and a template is being selected.

Be sure to select the correct template for your printing needs.

Label Options

Include with Every Shipment

Optionally, you can specify that you wish for an additional template, such as a packing slip, to be printed at the same time as the shipping label and select the correct packing slip template for the size you wish to print.

You can select from:

  • Packing Slip 4" x 6"
  • Packing Slip 8.5: x 11"

  1. Check Include the following with every shipment.

  2. Select the template you wish to print along with the shipping label.

Printing

Now, when you print your shipping labels, the correct template will be used to format the label for your printer. If you opted to include an additional document with each shipment, it will be printed automatically at the same time as your labels.
